MANAGEMENT TEAM

Aaron Martin, President
Mr. Martin is a nationally recognized leader in the commercial roofing industry having served two three-year terms as a board member of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA).  Mr. Martin started his roofing career in 1993 as a hands on technician. Over the next twenty years, he worked his way from project manager to President for one of the country’s largest and most successful commercial roofing companies.  Mr. Martin has expertise in all business facets required to run profitable commercial roofing company including: operations, project management, sales and marketing, accounting, safety, risk management and strategic planning,   Mr. Martin is a graduate of the NRCA/Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University Future Executive Institute’s three year educational program designed for leaders in the roofing industry. He is also a certified LEED AP and the former Chairman of RISE, the industry organization that promotes the certification of industry professionals with expert knowledge in photovoltaics and their integration with roof systems. In addition, Mr. Martin is a member of the Red Pointe Roofing Safety Committee with OSHA 30 certification.
John Patterson, Vice President

Mr. Patterson has spent his professional career working in the fields of sales, marketing and business development for prominant environmental service and construction companies.  Active in the commercial roofing industry since 1998, Mr. Patterson held key management positions at two of southern California’s leading commercial roofing companies, helping them build respected and sustained brands. Mr. Patterson is also an expert in Federal Government Program Management, having secured over $40,000,000 in federal government contracts since 2006.  Mr. Patterson is a certified LEED-AP through the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) and a certified solar roofing professional (CSRP) through RISE (Roof Integrated Solar Energy). Mr. Patterson has also been a member of the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI) since 2004.  Mr. Patterson earned his MBA (Marketing emphasis) from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University. In addition, Mr. Patterson is a member of the Red Pointe Roofing Safety Committee with OSHA 30 certification.

Karen Carniello (CPA), Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Carniello has over 25 years of accounting, financial reporting and compliance experience.  Ms. Carniello began her professional career with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in New York City.  Upon relocating to Southern California, she entered the field of public accounting and gained extensive experience in the accounting, audit and tax areas.  In 1995, Ms. Carniello joined her then client, LBA Realty (“LBA”) as their Controller and was instrumental in building the accounting department of LBA. During her eleven years there she was responsible for supervising the financial and management reporting for all LBA portfolio properties and directing all corporate accounting, audit and tax matters. Ms. Carniello’s experience in asset management, property management, corporate and broker-dealer accounting and construction accounting give her a unique perspective into various reporting needs. Ms. Carniello received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Geneseo and passed the Uniform certified Public Accountancy exam and is certified in the state of California.  Ms. Carniello has been with Red Pointe Roofing since its founding in 2013.

Diana Harari, Director of Administration
Ms. Harari has worked in the commercial roofing industry since 2004. Starting her career as a temporary receptionist with one of the nation’s largest and most successful commercial roofing companies, she quickly worked her way up the organization to become the company’s top administrator, working closely with all managers and executives.  Ms. Harari has expertise in all areas of construction related administration.  At Red Pointe Roofing, Ms. Harari implemented the company’s accounting and IT systems, 401K plan and health benefits in addition to overseeing purchasing and worker’s compensation reporting. From an operations standpoint, Ms. Harari is responsible for the administration of the company’s Project Control Log, which methodically tracks our projects from start to finish.  Ms. Harari is a graducate of the NRCA/Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University Future Executive Institute program designed for future leaders in the roofing industry and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from California State University at Long Beach. Ms. Harari is also member of the National Women in Roofing association. Ms. Harari is a member of the Red Pointe Roofing Safety Committee with OSHA 30 certification and was the recipient of the company’s Peak Performer award in 2015.
Felipe Coronel, Director of Safety

Mr. Coronel is a tactical safety professional with over fourteen years of experience in OSHA safety and health regulatory compliance, state and federal EPA compliance, industrial hygiene, construction safety and building code, fire and life safety, and emergency response training. Mr. Coronel has worked in the roofing industry since 2002 and holds the following certifications: OSHA 500, U.S. Army Corps of Engineering EM385 1-1, MSHA, First Aid/CPR Instruction and Forklift and Boom lift Instructor. Mr. Coronel is responsible for writing safety plans for all company production jobs and ensuring our safety equipment is operating properly. Mr. Coronel has worked with the Red Pointe team members since 2006 and is the chairman of the Red Pointe Roofing Safety Committee.

Tod Fritts, Senior Project Manager
Mr. Fritts is a well-known and knowledgeable Project Manager in the commercial roofing industry with over thirty years of commercial roofing experience. Mr. Fritts is respected by the most stringent roofing consultants, designers and building owners. In 2008, Mr. Fritts was recognized by manufacturer Sika-Sarnafil for his project management excellence on the St. John’s Regional Medical Center (Oxnard, CA) project. Mr. Fritts is known for his attention to detail and “hands on” project management style. Mr. Fritts is also a NAVFAC (Naval Facilities certified Construction Quality Manager (CQM) and is a member of the Red Pointe Roofing Safety Committee with OSHA 30 certification.
Larry Burks, Senior Project Manager
Mr. Burks has worked as a Project Manager in the commercial roofing industry since 1997 and has managed portfolios for a number of large companies including: Home Depot, Allergan, Western National Group, Westfield Mall and AT&T.  A recognized expert in thermoplastic roofing systems, Mr. Burks has consistently managed $3 -$5 million in projects a year since 2005.  Mr. Burks is a NAVFAC certified Construction Quality Manager (CQM) and well known by leading roof consultants and manufacturers. In 2015, Mr. Burks was recognized by manufacturer Sika-Sarnafil for his project management excellence on the Park Place (Irvine, CA) project.  In addition, Mr. Burks is a member of the Red Pointe Roofing Safety Committee with CAL-OSHA 10 certification and was the recipient of the company’s Peak Performer award in 2013.
Jon Ogden, Senior Project Manager
Mr. Ogden is a rock solid and respected Project Manager and key member of our team.  With over twenty five years of commercial roofing experience, Mr. Ogden has worked with a diverse, well known group of clients during his career including: the U.S. Navy, Irvine Apartment Communities, Zayo (formerly Latisys) and Rouse Properties.  Mr. Ogden is also an expert in HOA project management, which is a very unique and challenging market segment. Mr. Ogden is a NAVFAC certified Construction Quality Manager (CQM) and is an expert on federal government safety and construction procedures and practices.  Mr. Ogden is OSHA 30 certified and also the company photographer. Mr. Ogden’s photos have been officially used by the U.S. Navy for promotional purposes.
Tony Clifford, Senior Project Manager

Mr. Clifford has sold and managed over $75 million in commercial roofing projects since 2009. Mr. Clifford’s career project portfolio consists of a diverse market segment including: retail, multi-family, office, warehouse, shopping centers and manufacturing. Mr. Clifford also possesses expertise in the unique roofing requirements for steel mills, Mr. Clifford brings specialized knowledge and innovative ideas to his steel mill customers. His design of a safety netting system that allows for safe roof deck replacement at heights reaching one hundred feet in the air, over extreme heat furnaces has been a lifesaver. Mr. Clifford is also an expert in the complex field of cold storage construction. In 2016, Mr. Clifford was recognized by manufacturer Sika Sarnafil for his project management excellence on the ALDI Distribution Center (Moreno Valley, CA) project. Mr. Clifford’s major clients in his career include Wal-Mart, longtime Orange County General Contractor Snyder Langston, CW Driver, The Irvine Company and Ontario Mills Mall.  Mr. Clifford has over thirty years of commercial roofing experience and is an active member of the American Institute Steel Technology (AIST) serving on its Maintenance and Safety committee. Mr. Clifford was the recipient of the company’s Peak Performer award in 2014 and is CAL OSHA 10 certified.

Patrick Kay, Senior Project Manager
Mr. Kay started his career in the roofing industry in 1978 and since then has become one of the most respected and well known roofing professionals in Southern California. Mr. Kay's primary area of expertise is in steep-slope roofing project management and safety systems. Over his career, Mr. Kay has held key executive management positions with the industry’s leading contractors where his responsibilities included overseeing a field staff of 600 covering operations in nine states. Mr. Kay is trusted and admired by his many customers which include: The Irvine Company, Western National Group, Shea Homes and Toll Brothers. Mr. Kay has served on the board of directors for the Roofing Contractors Association of Southern California (RCA) and OSHA and is a licensed California roofing contractor (C-39). Mr. Kay has worked with the Red Pointe Roofing team members since 1993 and is a member of the Red Pointe Roofing safety committee with OSHA 30 certification.
Perry Phillips, General Superintendent

Mr. Phillips is nationally recognized for his ability to execute on complex roofing projects. Working in the commercial roofing industry since 1985, Mr. Phillips completed some of southern California’s most high profile projects over the past ten years including: St. John’s Hospital, Naval Medical Center San Diego, The Irvine Spectrum, ALCOA, Cambro Manufacturing, dozens of Target and Home Depot stores and Boeing.  In 2009, Mr. Phillips was recognized for his outstanding industry performance when he received the Superintendent of the Year Award at the annual National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) conference. Mr. Perry has worked with Red Pointe team members since 2001. In addition, Mr. Phillips is a member of the Red Pointe Roofing Safety Committee. Mr. Phillips is a member of the Red Pointe Roofing Safety Committee with OSHA 30 certification and was the recipient of the company’s Peak Performer award in 2016.

Roger Sanford, Superintendent

Mr. Sanford has been a superintendent in the commercial roofing industry for over twenty seven years with specialized expertise in single-ply roof systems.  Since 2006, Mr. Sanford has worked on site at a major steel plant in southern California where his knowledge of stringent safety requirements have made him a valuable partner to the plant’s safety and procurement departments.  Mr. Sanford has also completed single-ply projects for leading companies such as: Target, Boeing, The Irvine Company and Home Depot.  Mr. Sanford has worked with the Red Pointe Project Management team members since 2003 and is OSHA 30 certified.

Miguel Cedillos, Superintendent

Mr. Cedillos is well known and highly respected in the commercial roofing industry, having managed the production crews on some of southern California’s most complex projects over the past twenty years.  In 2006, Mr. Cedillos was the recipient of the Foreman of the Year Award at the annual National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) Conference. Mr. Cedillos works actively in the field with his crews and is also a vital member of the operations team. Mr. Cedillos has worked with the Red Pointe team members since 2000 and is OSHA 30 certified.

Jesus Santiago, Superintendent

Mr. Santiago began his career in the commercial roofing industry in 1992 and has worked with the Red Pointe Roofing team members since 2001.  Mr. Santiago is a highly respected Superintendent known for his work ethic, integrity and ability to manage diverse work crews. Mr. Santiago has overseen many high profile projects in his career including: St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, the Anaheim Hilton and Santa Ana’s Century High School.  Mr. Santiago has also successfully completed projects for well-known companies and agencies including: Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Snyder Langston and the U.S. Navy. Mr. Santiago has worked with the Red Pointe Roofing Project Managment team since 2005 and is OSHA 30 certified.

Miguel Rodriguez, Superintendent

Mr. Rodriguez has worked in the roofing industry since 1990, starting as a roofer and working his way up to Superintendent. Mr. Rodriquez has worked on many large high profile projects in his career for well-known multi-family building owners such as: Shea Homes, The Irvine Company, Archstone, and KB. Mr. Rodriguez is primarily known for his expertise in steep-slope tile roofing systems but he also has become admired and respected for his knowledge of low-sloped thermoplastic roofing systems. Mr. Rodriguez has worked with the Red Pointe team members since 2001 and is OSHA 30 certified.

Jamie Cunliffe, Administrative Manager

Mr. Cunliffe has worked in the commercial roofing industry since 1999, specializing in customer service, accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing. Mr. Cunliffe’s knowledge of commercial roofing operations, accounting, sales and contracts administration make him a valuable asset who can effectively fill many rolls. Mr. Cunliffe has worked with Red Pointe team members since 1999 and is CAL-OSHA 10 certified.

Erika Munoz, Office Administrator

Ms. Munoz is a valuable member of our administration team with expertise in project administration, accounting, HR, payroll and insurance. Ms. Munoz also acts as a primary liaison between office and field staff. In addition to her administrative skills, Ms. Munoz plays an active role in the implementation and management of the company’s safety programs and is a member of the Red Pointe Roofing Safety Committee with OSHA 30 certification. Ms. Munoz has worked with the Red Pointe Roofing team members since 2005.

Tanner Clifford, Estimator

Mr. Clifford was hired as an estimator for Red Pointe Roofing in 2013 to support the project management team. In his role as Estimator, Mr. Clifford interacts with the company’s general contractor clients and utilizes On-Screen Take-Off software to provide accurate plan-take offs.  Mr. Clifford is also responsible for the inputting of project plan data into the company’s proprietary Excel estimating templates.
